Vote Boston To Win Bushmills Twin City Competition

(Boston) – Recently the Boston Irish Tourism Association applied on behalf of Boston in the Bushmills Twin City competition, in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Bushmills license to distill whiskey.

The good news -- Boston is now one of the three finalists, joining two other great American cities, Louisville, KY and Portland, ME.

Our proposal is to use the $20,000 prize money to initiate a campaign to refurbish landmarks along the Irish Heritage Trail, and to educate the public on the importance of American history and heritage.  Read the Boston Herald story on the Trail: www.bostonherald.com

An addition $20,000 in prize money would go to the City of Boston for programs that promote responsible drinking.

So please vote for Boston in the contest, which ends on Monday, March 17, 2008.
