The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is known as the premier Independence Day celebration in the nation. Each year, hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the country to the banks of the Charles River to celebrate America’s birthday. Join Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops as they celebrate America's birthday. Click here for answers to frequently asked questions. Sunday, July 3rd, concert from 8:30 - 10 pm. Monday, July 4th, concert begins at 8:30, fireworks begin at 10:30 p.m. Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular ends at 11 p.m.

Fireworks follow the concert on July 4th

James Taylor Returns to Tanglewood with His All-Star Band on 4th at 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a festive Independence Day at Tanglewood. Fireworks display over the Stockbridge Bowl follows the concert on the 4th. Taylor, who regularly performs to sold-out audiences at Tanglewood, has returned to the festival 28 times since his first performance there in 1974. As in past years, Kim and James Taylor will donate proceeds from the July 4th performance to Tanglewood Building & Grounds Projects.

Every Monday throughout the year (except Holidays), the ICC presents set dancing with Cait Bracken from 7:30-9:30pm. Set dancing is a form of social dancing which has been popular in Ireland for over 150 years. Sets are danced by four couples in a square. No previous dancing experience or partner required! No registration required for this class.

Folk music has been a presence in Newport since 1959, when the Newport Folk Festival was founded by George Wein. The Festival became renowned for introducing a number of performers who went on to become major stars, most notably Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. Fort Adams is situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage. The festival at the Fort features 3 stages of music, food & crafts, and a number of displays.
