A new edition of Irish Boston by Michael Quinlin is due for release in October 2013, according to the book’s publisher, Globe Pequot Press.
The first edition (2004) went through four reprints, prompting the publisher to update the popular book.
The 2nd edition brings readers to 2013 and includes a decade’s worth of new material, including the crash of the Celtic Tiger, the immigration crack-down in the U.S. post-9/11, the death of Senator Ted Kennedy, and the shifting relationship between the Irish and Americans of Irish descent.
