FOR NEW ENGLAND AND IRELAND

(BOSTON) -- Today the Boston Irish Tourism Association (BITA) Travel & Culture Winter 2023-'24 released its 2023-2024 winter issue of Travel & Culture, a compendium of holiday concerts, cultural events and literary activities taking place in Massachusetts and New England, as well as travel ideas for visiting Ireland this winter.

Read the online digital magazine here.

This issue details Christmas holiday activities throughout December, from Rockport, MA to Newport, RI, plus special events at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton and the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland, RI.  Select gift shops, including the new Irish collection at the Museum Store at the JFK Library in Boston, are included.

Upcoming concerts and special events are featured throughout the winter and leading up to Irish Heritage Month next March, including the New England parade schedule and a profile of the famous Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day parade.

A story on Boston Logan Airport’s newly renovated Terminal E describes how this international gateway for travelers is more efficient and secure than ever, while offering new retail shops and restaurants, a stunning new interior, and a special exhibit celebrating the airport’s 100th anniversary this year.

For visitors going to Ireland, read about the warmth of an Irish winter, from cozy pubs and music sessions to majestic winters scapes and sunsets across the island.  Brack Tours, with offices in Ireland and New Hampshire, has an exciting new schedule of group tours for 2024, from musical sojourns and culinary adventures to nature treks along the famous Wild Atlantic Way.

This issue includes a walking map of Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, a selection of 20 landmarks in downtown Boston that tell the illustrious story of the Boston Irish over the past 300 years.  From the Rose Kennedy Greenway to Fenway Park, the Irish have helped to shape Boston as one of America’s most distinctive cities.

The magazine is distributed free at visitor kiosks and cultural venues throughout Massachusetts and New England.
