CULTURE GUIDE ON CULTURAL ACTIVITIES IN
MASSACHUSETTS AND IRELAND

Travel & Culture Summer 2022(BOSTON) -- The Boston Irish Tourism Association (BITA) has released its 2022 summer/fall issue of  Travel & Culture magazine, a compendium of Irish festivals and concerts, culinary, cultural and literary activities taking place in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, plus travel tips for visiting Ireland this summer and fall.

This issue has feature stories on the new Sailing Museum in Newport, RI, and current exhibits at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in Boston and the JFK Museum in Hyannis, Cape Cod.  It also highlights summer Celtic festivals and concerts in the region, and news about US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, Congressman Stephen Lynch and Boston College Professor Rob Savage.

A walking map of Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail is included, along with descriptions of the 20 downtown sites, and updates on three landmarks, including the Swan Boats in the Public Garden, the Shaw Memorial on Boston Common, and the Cambridge Irish Famine Memorial on Cambridge Common.

The Ireland section features stories on Ireland’s Great Outdoors, and touring routes including the Wild Atlantic Way, the Causeway Coastal Route, Ancient Ireland East and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, plus a feature on traveling to Ireland in the fall.

BITA is celebrating its 22nd year as a year-round, cultural tourism organization that promotes cultural activities in New England states with a focus on the Irish-American community.

BITA publishes three issues of Travel & Culture in March, June and November, and created the Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, which highlights Irish landmarks throughout Boston and around the state.

The 24-page color magazine is distributed free at visitor kiosks and cultural venues throughout Massachusetts and is available in digital format online  from our home page.
