SPRING ISSUE OF TRAVEL + CULTURE MAGAZINE
CELEBRATES ST. PATRICK'S DAY AND TRAVEL TO IRELAND

Travel & Culture Magazine Spring 2023(BOSTON) -- The Spring 2023 issue of Travel & Culture Magazine is being released today by the Boston Irish Tourism Association, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day festivities, spring in New England and travel to Ireland.

The free magazine is available at visitor centers and cultural venues in greater Boston and throughout New England, or in digital format online.

The St. Patrick’s Day roundup includes the season’s best Irish concerts, including Altan, Lunasa, Eileen Ivers, Seamus Egan, Runa and Green Road, plus stories on the Cape Cod and Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day parades, and a schedule of a dozen parades taking place in New England. The Irish Cultural Centre in Canton has a full slate of family activities throughout March.

This issue includes a feature about springtime in Boston - America’s walking city, news about the South Shore Irish Heritage Trail, which runs along nine cities and towns south of Boston, and a map of the Boston Irish Heritage Trail along with descriptions of 20 downtown landmarks for self-guided tours.

Looking ahead to spring and summer, the magazine has a calendar of upcoming festivals and concerts in New England this spring and summer, as well as a sports calendar of games ranging from hurling, camogie and Irish football to golf, rugby, running and sailing.

The Ireland section features Tourism Ireland's CEO Niall Gibbons and his accomplishments branding Ireland as an international destination.  Delta Air Lines’ popular route between Boston and Dublin includes details on the pre-clearance facilities at Dublin International Airport that makes travel so easy.  Other stories include groups tours to Ireland with Brack and Cara, Ireland’s emergence as a movie location for filmmakers, Irish literary festivals this spring and summer, and getting to know the new Dublin, from the Docklands to the Dublin Coastal Trail.

BITA is celebrating its 23rd anniversary as a year-round, cultural tourism organization that promotes the state’s largest ethnic community.  It publishes three annual issues of Travel & Culture each March, June and November.
